Self-Coaching for Stress&Energy

Stress is something we cannot live without and must learn to cope with.

Stress has an effect on industrial efficiency, corporate profits and individual health. There is hardly a single illness known that has not been recognized to be directly caused or indirectly exacerbated by stress. There may be other causative factors of course, but whether the problem is obesity, alcoholism, asthma, angina or other heart problems, there is no doubt that bad body balance from work overload, daily demands, pressures, frustration, anxiety, boredom and even too much responsibility will most likely make things worse.

Vitality describes your body and mind’s energy.

It is fuelled by physical exercise, mental relaxation and stimulation, positive achievements and joy. In addition, vitality eliminates fatigue and establishes a good balance for your mind and body.  In exhaustion mode, trying harder to overcome a deficient performance is already "heading downhill".

Fatigue syndrome is characterized by persistent or diffuse musculoskeletal pain, sleep disturbances, and subjective cognitive impairment lasting 6 months or longer. Symptoms are not caused by ongoing exertion, are not relieved by rest, and result in a substantial reduction of previous levels of occupational, educational, social or personal activities.

Whether life changes evolve in a positive or a negative way, change in itself constitutes an adaptation - a problem to solve.

The acceleration of changes is accompanied by an increase in information and a need to keep up. Life changes are also related to health issues, relationships and even death of family members or friends. All changes lead to the necessity of adapting psychologically, physically and socially. Yet, when there are too many changes occurring at the same time, the person cannot adapt and problems may arise.
